Title: Improved Fee Disclosure for Welfare Plans | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking will amend the regulation setting forth the standards applicable to the exemption under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) section 408(b)(2) for contracting or making reasonable arrangements with a party in interest for office space or services (29 CFR 2550.408(b)(2)). This amendment will ensure that plan fiduciaries of welfare plans are provided or have access to that information necessary to make a determination of whether an arrangement for services is "reasonable" within the meaning of the statutory exemption. This amendment is being promulgated separately from another amendment to section 408(b)(2) that applies to pension plans. |
