Title: Construction Contractors' Affirmative Action Requirements | |
Abstract:
The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) is responsible for enforcing Executives Order 11246, as amended, which prohibits Federal government contractors and subcontractors from discriminating against individuals in employment based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or national origin. It also prohibits discrimination based on an employee discussing his or her pay or pay of a coworker. Executives Order 11246 also requires these employers to take affirmative action to provide equal employment opportunity. This item is being withdrawn as the agency considers alternatives other than rulemaking. |
