Title: ●Recognition of Pilot in Command Experience in the Military and in Part 121 Air Carrier Operations
Abstract:

This rulemaking would allow pilots with part 121 pilot in command (PIC) experience prior to July 31, 2013, but who were not serving as a PIC on that date, to count that experience towards the 1,000 hours of air carrier experience required to serve as a PIC in part 121 today. The rule would reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens, consistent with safety, by allowing relevant experience to be considered towards PIC certification.
