Title: UTQGS Treadwear Test Alternate Course 
Abstract:

This rulemaking would consider and determine the continued use of the alternate treadwear test course.  NHTSA added an alternative treadwear test course under the Uniform Tire Quality Grading Standards (UTQGS) in an interim final rule in November 2013. The alternate test course was added as a temporary solution when flooding caused extensive damage to the original treadwear test course.  Although the affected portions of the course are now accessible, NHTSA is considering comments received and available information to determine the continued use of the alternative treadwear test course.
