Title: ●Submission of Credit Card Agreements Under the Truth in Lending Act (Regulation Z) | |
Abstract:
The Credit Card Accountability Responsibility and Disclosure Act of 2009 (CARD Act), as amended by the Dodd-Frank Act, requires credit card issuers to post their credit card agreements to their own Internet sites, and to submit those agreements to the Bureau to be posted on an Internet site maintained by the Bureau. In April 2015, the Bureau published a final rule in the Federal Register suspending credit card issuers’ obligation to submit agreements to the Bureau for one year. The Bureau is considering rules to improve that submission process, both to reduce the burden on credit card issuers and to ensure that the Bureau’s database is useful to consumers and the general public. |
