Title: ●Regulatory Amendment 4 to the Fishery Management Plan for Spiny Lobster in the Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic | |
Abstract:
Regulatory Amendment 4 would modify the stock status determination criteria and catch levels for spiny lobster based on updated information and revised scientific recommendations. The regulatory amendment would also prohibit the use of traps for recreational harvest of spiny lobster in the South Atlantic exclusive economic zone. The actions in this amendment are necessary to prevent overfishing and to minimize potential negative effects of recreational traps on habitat and protected species interactions in the South Atlantic exclusive economic zone. |
