Title: Certificate of Release or Discharge From Active Duty 
Abstract:

This part prescribes procedures for the issuance of DD Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty. DoD has determined that this part has no impact on the public; rather, the part describes the internal management and processing of DoD’s personnel activities, which is covered in DoD’s internal guidance. The internal guidance exclusively focuses on policy, preparation and distribution of DD Form 214. Therefore, this part will be repealed from the CFR.  Cost savings have not been identified.
