Title: Laboratory Accreditation for Analyses of Foods 
Abstract:

This proposed rule, if finalized, will enable FDA to recognize accreditation bodies that will ensure that accredit laboratories performing analyses of food under certain circumstances have in order to ensure appropriate use of equipment, personnel, and procedures to conduct reliable analyses. A program for accredited laboratories will increase the number of qualified laboratories eligible to perform testing of food, which will help FDA improve the safety of the U.S. food supply.
