Title: Management and Administration of Osage Mineral Estate | |
Abstract:
In 2011, the United States and the Osage Nation signed a settlement agreement covering management of the Osage Nation's oil and gas mineral estate. As a result of settlement negotiations, the parties agreed to a negotiated rulemaking to revise the relevant regulations. The final rule published in May 2015, but because of a court order and remand the rule never became effective. This proposed rule would revise the regulations governing leasing Osage reservation lands for oil and gas mining. |
