Title: International Traffic in Arms Regulations: Exports Made To or On Behalf of a U.S. Government Agency | |
Abstract:
This is a revision of section 126.4 of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) to clarify when exports may be made to, or on behalf of, an agency of the U.S. government without a license. In addition, the scope of this exemption is expanded for the benefit of exporters to allow for permanent exports, rather than only temporary exports. This was the subject of a proposed rule (1400-AC88), which was finalized; however the section 126.4 portion of that NPRM was not finalized. |
