Title: Great Lakes Pilotage Rates--2017 Annual Review  
Abstract:

The Coast Guard proposes new base pilotage rates and surcharges for 2017, as required by law. The changes would take effect after publication of a final rule. Rates for pilotage services on the Great Lakes were last revised in March 2016, and by law must be reviewed annually. This rulemaking promotes the Coast Guard’s maritime safety and stewardship (environmental protection) missions by promoting safe shipping on the Great Lakes.
