Title: ●Qualifications of Teachers and Paraprofessionals | |
Abstract:
The Department will rescind the Title I, part A regulations related to the Qualifications of Teachers and Paraprofessionals which address the highly qualified teacher and paraprofessional requirements in the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, including the statutory definition of Highly Qualified Teacher, duties of paraprofessionals, and expenditures for professional development. We are taking this deregulatory action because these regulations have been superseded by the Every Student Succeeds Act. |
