Title: Extension of Deadline for Submission of State Plans to Meet Emission Guidelines and Compliance Times for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills 
Abstract:

The EPA finalized the Emission Guidelines and Compliance Times for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills, on August 29, 2016 (81 FR 59276). The EPA received a petition in response to the final rule from industry representatives. The petition raised at least one objection to the rule requirements included in the final rule that arose after the comment period or was impracticable to raise during the comment period and that is of central relevance to the rule. In this action, the EPA intends to extend the state plan submittal due date to March 13, 2020.
