Abstract:
This rulemaking would respond to petitions for reconsideration on NHTSA's final rule establishing FMVSS No. 141, Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (aka Quiet Vehicles rule), which was published on December 14, 2016. Three petitions for reconsideration of the final rule were submitted to the docket within the 45-day timeframe of 49 CFR 553.35. NHTSA will consider these petitions and decide whether to grant or deny them in whole or in part. |
