Title: Competitive Passenger Rail Service Pilot Program 
Abstract:

This rulemaking, mandated by the FAST Act, would implement a pilot program for competitive selection of eligible petitioners in lieu of Amtrak to operate not more than three long-distance routes operated by Amtrak on the date of enactment of the Fast Act. The program will be voluntary and will not create general regulatory burdens.
