Title: ●Extension of Training Plan Implementation Dates | |
Abstract:
In a final rule published November 7, 2014, FRA issued requirements establishing minimum training standards for each category and subcategory of safety-related railroad employees and requiring railroad carriers, contractors, and subcontractors to submit training programs to FRA for approval. By final rule published May 3, 2017, FRA delayed the implementation dates of that 2014 final rule by one year. Based on a petition for reconsideration of the May 2017 final rule, FRA is considering a further delay of the implementation dates by an additional one year, for a cumulative two-year delay from the 2014 Final Rule implementation dates. |
