Title: ●Caregivers Program Tier Changes
Abstract:

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) proposes to revise its regulations that govern VA’s Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers, which provides certain medical, travel, training, and financial benefits to caregivers of certain veterans and servicemembers who were seriously injured in the line of duty on or after September 11, 2001. This rulemaking would clarify the time at which adjustments in stipend payments for Primary Family Caregivers would take effect, which is when VA’s monitoring of caregiver assistance provided to eligible veterans indicates an increase or decrease in the number of weekly hours of caregiver assistance that a veteran or servicemember requires.
