Title: Immediate, Expedited, and Private Disaster Assistance Loan Programs | |
Abstract:
SBA solicited comments from potential lenders and the public on three guaranteed disaster loan programs: (1) The expedited disaster assistance program (EDAP), under which the SBA would guarantee short-term loans of up to $150,000 made by private lenders to eligible small businesses located in a catastrophic disaster area; (2) the private disaster assistance program (PDAP), under which SBA would guarantee loans of up to $2 million made by private lenders to eligible small businesses and homeowners located in a catastrophic disaster area; and (3) the immediate disaster assistance program (IDAP), under which the SBA would guarantee interim loans of up to $25,000 made by private lenders to eligible small businesses, which would then be repaid with the proceeds of SBA direct disaster loans. |
