Title: Privacy Act Regulation | |
Abstract:
This regulation implements the Privacy Act requirement, 5 U.S.C. 552a(f), that each agency that maintains a system of records promulgate rules to establish procedures whereby an individual can be notified in response to his request if any system of records contains a record pertaining to him; have the opportunity to review the record of information pertaining to the individual; request amendments to the record or information; and appeal any adverse determination to a request for amendment. This regulation is anticipated to have no costs to non-government third parties, as ABMC does not maintain systems of records with information obtained from the public, and is anticipated to have minimal costs to the American Battle Monuments Commission. |
