Title: Eliminating the Requirement That Livestock Carcasses be Marked "U.S. Inspected and Passed" at the Time of Inspection When Carcasses Are to be Further Processed Within the Same Establishment | |
Abstract:
FSIS is proposing to eliminate a regulatory provision that requires livestock carcasses inspected and passed in a slaughter establishment to be marked with the official inspection legend at the time of inspection when the carcass is to be moved to further processing within the same slaughter establishment. The proposed rule would retain the need for inspected and passed carcasses to be marked with the official inspection legend if the carcasses are to be shipped to another establishment for further processing. |
