Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Delisting Multiple Species Due to Extinction
Abstract:

We will propose to remove several species from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife due to extinction. These species no longer require the protection of the Endangered Species Act. The species addressed in the rule have not been observed for several decades, and adequate survey efforts have been conducted that support the Service’s assumptions that they are no longer extant. Additionally, all of the species included in the rule were part of 5-year reviews that recommend delisting due to extinction. Batching of these species under a single rule will reduce the amount of time and effort to delist the species and result in a more accurate List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife.
