Title: ●Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassifying Beach Layia From Endangered to Threatened on the List of Endangered and Threatened Plants | |
Abstract:
We will propose to reclassify the beach layia, a plant species found in Californina, from endangered to threatened on the List of Endangered and Threatened Plants. This species was listed as an endangered species in 1992. The Service completed a 5-year review of the status of beach layia in November 2011, recommending that the species be reclassified. Threats of habitat loss and destruction have been greatly reduced through habitat protection measures. |
