Title: Adequate Yearly Progress | |
Abstract:
The Department will rescind the Adequate Yearly Progress sections of the title I regulations that focus on the requirements of the statewide accountability system under the No Child Left Behind, including how to determine whether schools are making adequate yearly progress, and creating a National Technical Advisory Council to advise the Secretary on standards, assessments, and accountability systems. We are taking this deregulatory action because these regulations have been superseded by the Every Student Succeeds Act. |
