In the April 2017 court filing, EPA requested that oral argument for MATS litigation be continued to allow the current Administration adequate time to review the Supplemental Cost Finding and to determine if it will be reconsidered. This action will also address the agency's residual risk and technology review (RTR) of the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Coal- and Oil-Fired Electric Utility Steam Generating Units (commonly referred to as the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS)), 40 CFR 63, subpart UUUUU, was promulgated pursuant to section 112(d) of the Clean Air Act (CAA) on February 16, 2012 (67 FR 9464).
