Abstract:
The General Services Administration is proposing to amend multiple parts of the FMR (41 CFR 102) to address recommendations to replace or modify regulations pursuant to EO 13771 and EO 13777. Changes update and improve federal policy regarding personal property. Multiple FMR parts are consolidated under this action. Recommended actions to address include a requirement for agencies to maintain an asset management system; revisions to the donation program to incorporate recent legislation regarding museums; removing duplicate definitions found across multiple FMR Parts; and, the incorporation of consensus standards regarding asset management policy. |
