Title: Renewal Applications and Notices for Gulf of Mexico and South Atlantic Vessel Permit, License, Endorsement, and Dealer Permit Holders
Abstract: This proposed rule would remove the requirement that the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Administrator mail a renewal application to a vessel owner or dealer whose permit, license, or endorsement is expiring. This proposed rule would also remove the requirement that the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Administrator notify the applicant of any deficiencies in the renewal application through traditional mail. Revising this language increases the flexibility for the NOAA Fisheries Southeast Regional Administrator to provide a vessel owner or dealer the renewal application or notification of deficiency though various methods, including digital download from the Southeast Regional Office website, electronic mail, traditional mail, and personal pick-up from the Southeast Regional Office. The rule would minimize costs associated with traditional mailing methods.
