Abstract:
This final rule will remove 32 CFR part 727 because it contains internal policy. The Secretary of the Navy’s authority under 10 U.S.C. 5013(g)(1) to assign, detail, and prescribe the duties of members of the Navy and Marine Corps and civilian personnel of the Department of the Navy, and under 10 U.S.C. 5013(g)(3) to prescribe policy and procedures to carry out his functions, powers, and duties, in addition to the Judge Advocate General of the Navy’s authority under 10 U.S.C. 1044 for the establishment and supervision of legal assistance programs, provides appropriate authority for the Judge Advocate General of the Navy to issue policy and procedures and establish additional categories of legal assistance eligibility via instruction. |
