DoD is proposing to amend the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) to implement section 825 of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year (FY) 2 019. Section 825 amends section 817(b)(2) of the NDAA for FY 2003 to modify the circumstances under which it is appropriate to grant an exceptional case exception or waiver with regard to certified cost or pricing data and cost accounting standards as set forth in 10 U.S.C. 2306a (Note: Grants of Exceptions to Cost or Pricing Data Certification Requirements and Waivers of Cost Accounting Standards). The 10 U.S.C. 2306a Note is implemented in DFARS sections 215.403-1 and 230.201-5.
