View Rule

This rule will outline admissions policies for students entering the School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. The part was put in place soon after the legislation authorizing the establishment of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and has not been updated since July 28, 1989 (54 FR 31335). The rule will establish unique required qualifications for medical education admissions and assign responsibilities also for the selection of entrants to the School of Medicine of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. The revision will also remove some redundant language specific to internal departmental policies, and procedures. The revised language will provide for an overview of the admissions process for those entering the School of Medicine. The rule will also remove the portion of the CFR part that deals with student contracts, referring instead to 10 U.S.C. 2114.
