Title: Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Reclassifying the Golden Conure From Endangered to Threatened With a Section 4(d) Rule | |
Abstract:
We have completed a 12-month finding on a petition either to remove the golden conure (Guaruba guarouba) from the List of Endangered and Threatened Wildlife or to reclassify it from endangered to threatened status. As a result, we published a proposed rule to downlist the golden conure and add it to the ESA section 4(d) rule for parrots at 50 CFR 17.41(c). The golden conure is a bird in the parrot family that is found in Brazil’s south Amazon Basin. |
