Title: Civil Monetary Penalty Inflation Adjustments 
Abstract:

This rule adjusts for inflation the level of civil monetary penalties assessed under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA).  It complies with the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act Improvements Act of 2015, which requires agencies to make annual inflation adjustments to their civil penalties.
