Title: ●Department of the Interior Acquisition Regulations, Buy Indian Act Acquisition Regulations  
Abstract:

This advanced notice of proposed rulemaking seeks to simplify the limitation on subcontracting for Buy Indian Act procurements and to update the requirements for authorized deviations to the Buy Indian Act.  We will propose to eliminate the restriction on Indian Economic Enterprises from competing on "covered" construction contracts issued by the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The rule will enhance business opportunities for Indian Economic Enterprises and assist in the economic development of Indian Country.
