Title: Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products: Test Procedures for Plumbing Products
Abstract:

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is considering updating the test procedures in title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, part 430 (10 CFR 430) for plumbing products:  water closets and urinals.  Presently, 10 CFR 430 incorporates by reference the American Society of Mechanical Engineers/American National Standards Institute (ASME/ANSI) Standard A112.19.2-2008 test procedure for water closets and urinals.  Since that time, ASME amended Standard A112.19.2 to the 2013 version, and the 2013 version has been amended once.  The Energy Policy and Conservation Act of 1975, as amended, (EPCA) requires DOE to amend 10 CFR 430 to conform to the revised ASME/ANSI Standard A112.19.2 if the test procedure requirements of ASME A112.19.2 are amended, or at least once every 7 years.
