Title: Update to NOX SIP Call Regulations--Addition of Monitoring Flexibility and General Streamlining of Provisions | |
Abstract:
This proposal would revise the existing NOX SIP Call regulations to add flexibility for states to amend their State Implementation Plans (SIPs) to allow alternative monitoring in place of 40 CFR part 75 continuous emission monitoring (CEMS) for certain large industrial boilers and turbines. Ultimately, this flexibility could be made available to approximately 450 units through state SIPs. The proposal would also eliminate obsolete provisions and make non-substantive clarifications to the remaining regulations. |
