Title: Updating the Petitions for Exemption Process | |
Abstract:
This rulemaking would update 49 CFR part 555 to improve and expedite the administrative process for reviewing petitions for exemption from FMVSS for innovative safety technologies. This final rule would eliminate the requirement for NHTSA to review exemption petitions for completeness and make completeness determinations prior to seeking public comment. |
