Title: ●Federal Employees Health Benefits Program: Claims Data Reportings | |
Abstract:
The Office of Personnel Management proposes to amend the Federal Employees Health Benefits Acquisition Regulation (FEHBAR) for the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program. FEHB Carriers collect claims data, which includes encounter data in the case of some managed care plans, on all enrollees and family members in order to provide health care coverage to those individuals. FEHB Program carriers are required to submit a report to OPM on no less than an annual basis that includes, but is not limited to, person-specific claims data feeds covering all benefits provided under the program. This rule clarifies the requirements for FEHB Program carriers to ensure that OPM, as a health oversight agency, has the information necessary to properly administer the FEHB Program. |
