Abstract:
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is proposing to revise its regulations governing personnel investigations to address requirements governing the use of a polygraph for suitability and fitness employment screening of applicants and appointees. The proposed rule change will satisfy requirements of Executive Order 13467, as amended, to modernize the Executive Branch-wide governance structure and processes for suitability and fitness for employment and credentialing vetting, which includes investigative information collections. |
