Title: United States Agency for International Development Acquisition Regulation (AIDAR): Security and Information-Technology Requirements
Abstract:

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) seeks public comment on a proposed rule that would amend the USAID Acquisition Regulation (AIDAR) to incorporate:  1) a revised definition of information technology; 2) revised requirements for contractor access to Agency facilities and/or information systems; 3) Electronic Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility requirements; 4) software licensing requirements; and 5) other requirements relating to information security and information technology approvals. The rule will affect contractors and subcontractors performing under USAID-funded contracts that require access to Agency information systems. Contractors will budget for and will be reimbursed all reasonable costs associated with specific compliance and reporting during the contract implementation.
