Title: ●Simplifying Meal Service and Monitoring Requirements in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs | |
Abstract:
This rule will propose to allow schools to adjust the age/grade group categories (+/- 1 grade level) and the menu, so that schools with overlapping grade combinations could offer a single menu for all students in the school. In addition, with State agency approval, this rule proposes to allow small local educational agencies (LEAs) (those with 2,499 or fewer students) to use a single meal pattern, regardless of their grade configuration. The State agency would determine which age/grade group meal pattern and dietary specifications the school would follow. |
