Title: Fisheries Off West Coast States; West Coast Salmon Fisheries; Approving Rebuilding Plans for Five Overfished Salmon Stocks
Abstract:

This action will propose approval of rebuilding plans for five stocks of Pacific salmon. In 2018, NMFS determined that two stocks of Chinook salmon and three stocks of coho salmon were overfished. The Pacific Fishery Management Council's Salmon Technical Team is developing rebuilding plans for Council consideration, and the Council expects to adopt rebuilding plans in March 2019 to recommend to NMFS. The rebuilding plans approved by NMFS will be used in the development of annual management measures for ocean salmon fisheries until NMFS determines that the overfished stocks are rebuilt.
