Title: Health Promotion | |
Abstract:
This final rule will remove the DoD rule, codified on August 30, 1988 (53 FR 33123),which established a health promotion policy within the Department of Defense to improve and maintain military readiness and the quality of life of DoD personnel and other beneficiaries. The majority of the content of the rule is internal to the DoD and exists in DoD Instruction 1010.10, "Health Promotion and Disease Prevention." The remaining content regarding smoking on DoD property is covered by title 41 CFR part 102-74, titled "Facility Management." The removal of 32 CFR part 85 supports a recommendation from the DoD Regulatory Reform Task Force. |
