Title: Disposition of Proceeds from DoD Sales of Surplus Personal Property 
Abstract:

This final rule removes the part codified on August 28, 1989 (54 FR 35483) and last revised on April 13, 1990 (55 FR 13903) on the collection and disposition of cash and cash equivalents received by the DoD Components for the DoD sale of surplus personal property. DoD guidance will continue to be published in DoD 7000.14-R, Financial Management Regulation, Volume 11A, Chapter 5, Disposition of Proceeds from DoD Sales of Surplus Personal Property” available at http://comptroller.defense.gov/Portals/45/documents/fmr/current/11a/11a_05.pdf. The removal of 32 CFR part 172 supports a recommendation from the DoD Regulatory Reform Task Force.
