Abstract:
This rulemaking proposes to codify and clarify current practices, guidance, and statutory authority concerning the importation of human remains. We are also changing the name of the regulation from "Dead Bodies" to "Human Remains" to further clarify that, in addition, to the importation of a whole body, our authority to protect the health of the public extends to portions of deceased bodies which may also be infected with communicable diseases. |
