Title: Methods for Assuring Access to Covered Medicaid Services--Rescission (CMS-2406-P2) | |
Abstract:
This proposed rule would remove the regulatory text that sets forth the current required process for states to document whether Medicaid payments in fee-for-service systems are sufficient to enlist enough providers to assure beneficiary access to covered care and services consistent with the Medicaid statute. Additionally, this rule announces our decision not to finalize the proposed rule published on March 23, 2018; instead, sets out a new approach to understanding access and ensuring statutory compliance while eliminating unnecessary burden on states. |
