Title: Migratory Bird Management; Revision of General Exceptions to Permit Requirements | |
Abstract:
This rule would set standards and processes that the Service would follow to determine if a requesting entity could qualify for an exception from migratory bird permit requirements. Currently, the Service's general exceptions to permit requirement regulations include State game departments, municipal game farms or parks, public museums, public zoological parks, accredited institutional members of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), and public scientific or educational institutions. The Service has received requests from zoological associations, not affiliated with AZA requesting that they, too, be considered for the permit exception. |
