Title: Use of ISO Warning Symbol for ABS Failure
Abstract:

This rulemaking, if finalized, would amend the subject labeling requirement to accept the ISO warning symbol for ABS failure as an alternative to labeling on the indicator. Pursuant to the United States adoption of GTR No. 3 on motorcycle brake system performance, NHTSA extensively revised FMVSS No. 122 to harmonize with GTR No. 3. This rulemaking would allow the use of the ISO symbol as an alternative to meet S5.1.10.2(c) of FMVSS No. 122.
