Title: Rules Implementing the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act | |
Abstract:
The Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act was enacted in May 2018 to amend certain Federal consumer financial laws that the Bureau implements and administers, including by adjusting various mortgage requirements and creating new consumer protections in areas such as student lending and consumer reporting. The Bureau expects to engage in rulemaking to align outdated regulations with provisions of the statute that do not require rulemaking to take effect and as needed to facilitate compliance. |
