USDA/NRCS RIN: 0578-AA70 Publication ID: Fall 2019
Title: Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP)
Abstract:

NRCS is establishing RCPP through a new regulation as authorized by 2018 Farm Bill. RCPP was first authorized in the Agricultural Act of 2014 to enhance conservation and restoration on a regional or watershed scale. RCPP promotes coordination between NRCS and its partners to help producers and landowners increase the restoration and sustainable use of soil, water, and wildlife on a regional or watershed scale. The 2018 Farm Bill reauthorizes RCPP and makes significant changes to how the program is funded, introduces RCPP contracts, changes the funding pool” mechanism, streamlines the program, allows project renewals, expands activity eligibility, and makes other changes.
