Title: ●International Fisheries; Pacific Tuna Fisheries; Fish Aggregating Device and Silky Shark Restrictions in the Eastern Pacific Ocean | |
Abstract:
Should the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission adopt a binding resolution related to fish aggregating device (FAD) requirements for silky sharks at their annual meeting in fall 2019, this rulemaking action proposes to implement that action domestically. The implementing regulations would apply to United States purse seine vessels fishing in the eastern Pacific Ocean, and impose relatively minor burdens with respect to materials and construction of FADs. |
