Title: Naturalization of Aliens Serving in the Armed Forces of the United States and of Alien Spouses and/or Alien Adopted Children of Military and Civilian Personnel Ordered Overseas | |
Abstract:
This final rule will remove the rule codified on November 14, 1970 (35 FR 17540), discussing procedures to facilitate the naturalization of aliens who have served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States and to militarily certify alien dependents seeking naturalization under the provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952. The Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) has purview over naturalization, and the forms, policies, and procedures are available from USCIS and in some instances the Department of State. Therefore, this part can be removed from the CFR. The removal of 32 CFR part 94 supports a recommendation of the DoD Regulatory Reform Task Force. |
